If you have received confirmation that you are affected by this breach, we may be able to represent you for a legal case.

Read on for more information about the breach and how we may be able to help you, as well as how to speak to the team now for free, no-obligation advice.

LOQBOX hacked – what happened?

Customers whose information was affected by the event were notified about the LOQBOX data breach from 20th February 2020 onward. As specialist Group Action Lawyers, we were immediately contacted by concerned victims and we agreed to take claims forward on a No Win, No Fee basis.

It was confirmed that an attack had taken place which had led to the potential exposure of customer information. Data that may have been exposed included:

  • Names;
  • Addresses;
  • Dates of birth;
  • Email addresses;
  • Contact telephone numbers;
  • Payment card data.

It is understood that some of the payment card data that may have been hacked included the first six and last digits of the long 16-digit card number as well as expiration dates. The exposed data is more than enough for criminals to misuse and cause some serious damage to the victims.

About the LOQBOX data breach action

Given the nature of the LOQBOX data breach, we believe that there is a legitimate cause to make a claim for compensation for anyone affected by the incident.

Victims could be entitled to receive compensation for the distress caused by the loss of control of their personal information. If anyone has suffered any monetary losses, such as stolen money from fraud events that are directly linked to the attack, we may be able to include this also.

As we believe that there is a case to make, we are offering No Win, No Fee legal representation for anyone affected who has yet to start a claim with us. This action is one of over 50 different actions we are, and have been, fighting for justice in for years. As specialist Group Action Lawyers, we are taking on increasing numbers of data breach compensation claims because of the number of incidents that are frequently occurring.
